The Vance Room is in the Carriage House. It is named for Governor Zebulon Baird Vance. It is a generous room with an antique queen size bed and other old beautiful oak pieces. This room is paneled with wormy chestnut setting the mood for a cozy and romantic stay. Surrounded by towering chestnut oaks, the Vance room feels appealingly secluded on the first floor of the Carriage House. Beautiful linens and accessories in white, blue and taupe adorn the room where ample wing backed chairs invite you to linger. Antique art work along with a signed and numbered print by William Morgan complete the room's decor.

And of course, there is the tub. This is a 2-person Jacuzzi tub. Sit and relax and let the jets soothe your aching body. Watch a movie on the television and keep your favorite beverage cool in the refrigerator. A coffee pot and supplies, a corkscrew and wine glasses are all provided. So, you can snuggle and relax. Don't forget there are evening treats in the Library, too.
