Chef
owner Madelyn uses her Southern roots and a degree in Home Economics to instruct in a lively and knowledgeable way. She
has taken many specialized classes with chefs throughout the south.
Madelyn has taught classes from basic cooking, microwave cooking
for kids to classes for men only and everything in between.
She has won blue ribbons and she has also
written a 200 page cookbook, Stove in the Grove.
Her list of credits includes inclusion in many state and national
cookbooks.
Join Madelyn for classes combining southern traditions and quick and easy methods to make your home cooking a delight and not, a chore. Classes will be held on Tuesdays. but if a date does not suit you, call to see if a different date may be arranged. |

MURDER IN THE GROVE |

Plan
an unforgettable weekend with a group of friends.
A murder has been committed at Madelyn’s in the Grove.
You are a suspect (everybody else is too!) A
few weeks before the event, you will receive a packet of information that
explains the scenario with a description of your character, costume
suggestions and a list of the other characters.
On
Friday night, you will enjoy a delightful light catered supper.
Unfortunately, a body is discovered and the mystery begins.
Saturday morning Detective Hill comes to interrogate the group.
Afterwards he allows everyone to have Saturday as a day on your own
recognizant—vineyards, antiquing, golfing, etc.
Return to the bed and breakfast and a delightful five course meal
and find out “who did it”.
Enjoy a fun filled weekend, delicious catered meals, three-course breakfasts, afternoon snacks and evening desserts. | We have a great place to catch up on those stacks of photographs and get your albums finished. Madelyn's in the Grove can accommodate one person for a getaway or up to a group of twelve. We provide individual tables, desk lamps, waste baskets. For groups of 4 or more, we will provide a catered meal on Friday night and Saturday lunch. Soft drinks, tea, coffee and afternoon snacks. Of course, you will enjoy Madelyn's three-course breakfast each morning of your stay. You receive all of this plus the quiet and relaxing work atmosphere found in Union Grove for $160 per person for two nights for groups of four or more (double occupancy). | |||||||||

Come to the
Grove for a day of learning how to make a Cathedral Window
Quilt. We will get you started and then you can work on this quilt
when you have a minute or two. My Mom made two of these
quilts and the only time she worked on it was when she traveled
with my Dad. It's a great take with you project. Bring
your scissors and we will provide everything else. $50. per person
This includes a morning class with lunch and an afternoon
workshop. We are planning more quilting classes for the summer and
fall.

Would you like to really visit
with some friends? Can you get away for one night or maybe
two? Stay with us for two nights and you will receive:
a light catered supper (mixed green salad with marinated
roasted chicken breast and (your choice of dressing), fresh
baked rolls and make your own sundaes.) Breakfast will be brought
to your room on the first morning so you can stay in your
p.js. Then you have a day of play: watch movies, go shopping
or visit the local wineries. The second night dinner will be on
your own. On the second morning come to the house and
enjoy Madelyn's three-course breakfast. This special

and 4 girls-$125 each. Can you only get away for one
